The Fifty Shades trilogy is Signed by the Author on the title page of each book. All first edition copies of any of the three titles were softcover (paperback), and were published by The Writer's Coffee Shop. Note: while there are now hardcover editions available, some showing the original 2011 copyright year, these are all later versions. This first state copy was produced before the fact of a future two titles, making a trilogy, was known hence the roman numeral system (I, II, II) for the three titles was not in place. WCS copies dated in 2011 and with the lulu bar code number which do have a spine numeral "I" are also first editions, but a later state. This is the extremely scarce first state of the first edition, with the equally scarce original WCS Fifty Shades of Grey bookmark that accompanied it. ![]() The Bookmark is Near Fine, with a light crease near the bottom (scan).
